Sweet and salty.

Ingredients: Organic maple syrup (98%), Murray River salt (1%), natural caramel flavour (1%)*.

Sap Salted Caramel Energy Gel — 12 pack

Sap Salted Caramel is an energy gel made from three ingredients: organic maple, Murray River salt, and natural caramel flavour. Each 30mL sachet delivers 27g of carbs in a 1:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio, plus 100mg of sodium from real Murray River salt. Actual food, not a synthetic powder. Thin enough to drink mid-stride. Tastes like real salted caramel, not synthetic sweetener with caramel colouring. Built for athletes who don't want to compromise on what they put in their body just to get carbs in.

Who it's for

People who find most gels too sweet or too sharp. Sweet and salty, with Murray River salt for sodium. Works the same across running, cycling, HYROX, CrossFit and the gym. 27g of carbs per gel, easy on the gut.

*About the caramel: most "natural flavours" reach a product on a carrier such as maltodextrin, propylene glycol (MPG), a solvent or alcohol, and the carrier doesn't have to be declared. Ours is different: a genuine natural caramel flavouring on a natural acacia gum carrier, free from ethanol, solvents, and propylene glycol (MPG).

Take one sachet before or during exercise. For longer sessions, one to three sachets per hour depending on intensity.

What's "natural caramel flavour"?

A genuine natural caramel flavouring carried on natural acacia gum, with no ethanol, no solvents and no propylene glycol (MPG). Most "natural flavours" come on a carrier that never has to be declared; we name ours. Underneath it's maple and Murray River salt: real salted caramel taste, not synthetic sweetener with caramel colouring.

Will it upset my stomach?

Everyone's gut is different, so we can't promise how yours will react. What we can tell you: we made these because regular gels upset ours, and the thing customers tell us most often is that these don't. If they're not right for you, the 30-day guarantee covers it.

How many do I take?

One before or during. On long sessions, one to three an hour depending on how hard you're going. Rough maths: at hard effort you burn 60 to 90g of carbs an hour, and a gel is 27g.

Do I need water with it?

No. They're runny, not gluey, so they go down on their own. Drink if you want to, not because you have to.

Why maple?

Because maple already carries the carbs: 27g per gel in a natural 1:1 glucose-to-fructose mix. Everything a typical gel adds is there for shelf life or texture, not for you.

What about the sugar?

During exercise, carbs are the point: your working muscles burn them for energy, and if you run low you slow down. Maple's carbs come as a natural 1:1 mix of glucose and fructose.

How long do they keep?

Two years from production, best-before printed on every box and sachet. Room temperature, out of direct sun. No fridge.

Are they vegan and gluten free?

Yes, all four flavours.

Easy to consume and no icky gut issues. Salted caramel is delicious. Gives me the carbs and energy to do a hard workout. I take these before I workout when plans change and I need something quick.
