Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions
Last updated 26 September 2026.
Welcome to the Maple Movement Affiliate Program! Thank you for deciding to become a member of our affiliate program.
The following terms and conditions apply to anyone accessing or using the Program, whether as a merchant ("we" or "merchant") or as an affiliate ("you" or "affiliate") who refers customers to use the merchant's product or service.
By joining the program, affiliates accept to use the Program in the manner stated in these Terms and Conditions and are bound by them. You are not authorised to register as an affiliate or participate in the Program in any way if you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
Your program and its benefits. Maple Movement runs one affiliate program with two ways of being paid: store credit (the default) or cash by PayPal. You choose one; you can ask us to switch at any time and the change applies to orders placed after the switch. Team memberships such as the Elite Race Team or Competitive Race Team are perks and community, not a different pay structure. Separately, we run invite-only content-based arrangements (see section 6). The rates, discounts, payout methods and any participation requirements that apply to you are those published on the affiliate signup page and in your affiliate portal, together with any written offer we send you. Those details form part of these Terms and may be updated as described in section 12.
1. Approve & Deny the Registration
In our sole and absolute discretion, we reserve the right to approve or deny ANY Affiliate Program Registration. For the denial of your Affiliate Program Registration, you will have no legal recourse against us.
2. Affiliate Links & Coupon
You are given one personal discount code and one personal link (maplemovement.com/YOURCODE) that applies the same discount automatically. Your code and link give a new customer 10% off their first order with Maple Movement. They do not work for customers who have ordered before, do not apply to subscription orders, and can be used once per customer. If a customer uses your link and your code, you are credited once, not twice. If a customer follows someone else's link and then yours, the most recent one counts. You may only advertise the code and link assigned to you. Affiliates may also promote the merchant's website on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as in print publications such as magazines and newspapers.
3. Commission & Payouts
Commission is earned on a new customer's first order placed with your code or link. Repeat orders, subscription renewals, and orders by customers who have bought from us before do not earn commission. The current rates are published on the signup page and in your portal (at launch: 20% of the order subtotal as store credit, or 10% as cash by PayPal). Commission is calculated on the order subtotal after the customer's discount, excluding shipping and tax.
Commission is held for 30 days after the order (our returns window) and then approved. Orders that are cancelled, refunded, or charged back are not payable. Orders placed by you, on your own account or using your own code or link, are not payable. We review conversions under a fair-usage policy and may decline any that look fraudulent or outside these Terms.
Store credit is paid into your portal wallet as a reward code you apply at checkout on maplemovement.com. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. Cash is paid by PayPal only; you must add a valid PayPal email in your portal profile, and we cannot pay cash to anyone who has not. Payouts are made periodically by Maple Movement. The status of every order and payment is shown in your portal.
4. Marketing Resources
Through the Marketing Resources tab, we may share promotional media with you, such as a banner, logo, or a specific collection promotion. To distribute on affiliate channels, you may either download the media or acquire the HTML embed code.
5. Content Use & Partnership Ads
By joining the Program, you grant Maple Movement permission to:
- Repost, share, and feature content you publish about Maple Movement products on our own marketing channels (website, social media, email).
- Use your content in paid Partnership Ads on platforms such as Meta (Instagram, Facebook) from your handle, where you have accepted a Partnership Ads request.
Partnership Ads are a separate arrangement from referral commission. Where you accept a Partnership Ads request, you earn 1% of the ad spend Maple Movement puts behind ads that use your content, credited to your Maple balance. Your affiliate code is not used in ads and sales driven by ads do not earn referral commission. Maple Movement decides which content, if any, is used in ads and how much is spent.
You may revoke this permission at any time through the contact form on our website. After revocation, your affiliate code will continue to work as normal, but your content will not be used in new marketing materials or paid ads going forward. Materials and campaigns already in market may continue until their scheduled end.
6. Program-Specific Requirements & Content-Based Programs
Some programs carry specific participation requirements or benefits in place of, or in addition to, commission, for example invite-only programs that provide a fee or product in exchange for a content commitment. Where this applies, the requirements and benefits for that program are those published on its program page and communicated to you when you join, and they form part of these Terms.
Content-based (pay-per-post and gifted) programs. For programs where we pay a fee or provide product in exchange for content, the following applies:
- Your deal is your written offer. Registering for a content-based program gives us the information we use to assess your suitability and, where we choose to, send you a written offer (by email or direct message) stating your deliverables, agreement period, and any fee. An arrangement is formed only when you accept that offer in the way the offer describes. Registration alone does not create any entitlement to fees, product, or an arrangement of any kind, and we are under no obligation to make an offer to anyone who registers.
- Fees are fixed in advance for the agreement period. Any fee is agreed before content goes live and does not change based on how the content performs during that period, in either direction.
- Delivery must be verifiable. Content must be identifiable as required in your offer (for example by tagging our account). Content we cannot verify as delivered is not payable. Fees are paid for content actually delivered in accordance with your offer; content not delivered by the end of the agreement period is not owed or payable.
- Content standards. You have creative control over your content, but it must comply with applicable law (including advertising disclosure requirements for paid or gifted content), must not be misleading, and must not make health or medical claims about our products beyond our published product information. Where a platform provides a paid-content disclosure tool (such as Instagram's paid-partnership label), you must use it, and you're responsible for maintaining an account type that supports it (for example a creator or business account).
- No sales targets. Content-based arrangements are not commission deals. Payment is not conditional on sales, and no sales targets apply. Any referral code shown in your dashboard exists because the platform requires one; it does not form part of a content-based arrangement unless your offer states otherwise.
- Product. Where an offer includes product, we choose what is sent and when, and product provided is for your use in connection with the program and is not redeemable for cash.
- Renewal. At the end of an agreement period, any renewal, extension, or new offer is at our sole discretion, on terms and rates we set at that time. Nothing renews automatically, and a past offer, fee, or rate creates no entitlement to the same or similar terms in the future.
- Ending early. Either party may end an arrangement early by written notice. If that happens, content already delivered is paid per the offer, and nothing further is owed by either party.
Where a written offer states something different from these Terms for a specific arrangement, the offer governs for that agreement period only.
7. Personal-use discount
Active affiliates receive a personal-use discount on their own orders, published on the signup page and in your portal. It is for your own use, tied to your customer account, and must not be shared. Team members may receive additional perks as published for that team. Personal-use discounts and team perks are not commission and may be changed or withdrawn under section 12.
8. Cookie
We track customers who click on your link using cookies, so the customer must allow cookies for link tracking to work; a customer who blocks or clears cookies can still be credited to you by using your code at checkout. The tracking window is 30 days from the click. Only the customer's first order within that window earns commission (see section 3).
9. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use spam, unsolicited messages, or misleading communication.
- Misrepresent your relationship with us.
- Host or promote illegal or offensive content.
- Use cookie stuffing or any fraudulent tracking method.
- Purchase products through your own affiliate link or code, or arrange for household members to do so.
- Post your code or link on coupon, deal, or cashback websites.
Paid Search & Traffic Diversion Policy. You agree not to:
- Bid on our brand/store/domain name (or variations/misspellings) on search engines.
- Run ads pretending to represent us officially.
- Direct paid ads to our website or use our domain as display URL.
- Capture or divert our organic search traffic using paid ads.
Violations may result in account termination and forfeiture of commissions.
10. Exclusion from Affiliate Program
If an affiliate wants to be dismissed from the affiliate program, they can contact us through the contact form on our website.
11. Inactive memberships
We may deactivate a membership that has had no referred orders for an extended period (currently six months). We will normally let you know before doing so. Deactivation switches off your code and link; anything already earned is still paid under section 3, and you can ask to be reactivated at any time.
12. Changes to the Program
We reserve the right to modify, amend, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Affiliate Program at any time, in our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, commission rates, content fees and how they are calculated, content deliverables and agreement periods offered, personal-use and affiliate discount amounts, product allowances, payout methods and thresholds, cookie duration, eligibility requirements, and any other program terms or benefits. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify affiliates of material changes by email or through the affiliate dashboard, but changes take effect once posted (including any update to the benefits published on your program page or dashboard).
How changes apply:
- For commission programs, a change applies to orders placed after it takes effect and does not affect commission you have already earned.
- For content-based programs, a change applies to future offers and future agreement periods. It does not change the fee stated in an offer you have already accepted for its current agreement period, and does not affect fees already earned for content delivered.
- Benefits, rates, fees, or terms published or offered in the past create no entitlement to the same in the future. No prior arrangement, offer, or published benefit continues beyond its own agreement period or limits what we may offer or publish going forward.
Your continued participation in the Program after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
